Cerebral palsy occurs due to the abnormality in motor system and that is further the result of brain lesions that become non- progressive.

First, it is important to know that what the role of motor system is. Well it provides all the ability to control or make the movements and brain lesion is the abnormality of the brains structure or function. Now if some brain injury occurs it may lead to brain lesion and most of the times it is not one time brain injury as it is the extreme injury that can occur leading to the abnormality of motor system or Cerebral palsy.

The chances are very high that the injury may sustain for the rest of the Childs life. Cerebral palsy is mostly discovered in the infants born with very low weight or born through premature delivery. It is also found that Cerebral palsy may occur in every one of the thousands child born that means the rate is quite high
It may be wrong to link up cerebral palsy to events at the time of delivery as it is majorly due to the parental and the pre mature delivered child are more prone to it .

Along with this other usual causes that may lead to Cerebral palsy, genetic disorder, infections of the brain, accidents of brain development, stroke that occurred due to the abnormal blood vessels or blood clots. However, some of the commons symptoms found in the infants during first few days of life are: irritability, jitteriness, seizures, feeding and respiratory problems, lethargy, and it could be coma depending on the severity.

It is found that a child with cerebral palsy may have muscles with decreased tone and seem to floppy as compared to other infants this is commonly known as hypotonia. Other infants may have rigid muscles. The baby may also encounter a delay in his development like delays in walking, crawling, sitting up, rolling over or for smiling.

Moreover, the child learning to crawl or walk may drag one leg. Passing the age of six months the child may experience Moro reflex that is when the child is tipped on his own back so that his legs are above his head along with this the child may flung his arms open, which will seem as the child is preparing for an embrace.
